Historically, we have been working on the cultivation of our family estates in Subirats (Cal Xic de l’Agustí) and Sant Martí Sarroca (Cal Pau Piu). At the beginning, we were only cultivating the three traditional Penedès varieties: Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada. The will to keep experimenting and learning has encouraged us to plant a wider range of varieties, in order to diversify the vineyards and create new wines with the passage of t ime.
Currently, we manage 55 hectares of vineyard under the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture.
Wine had been produced in the old cellar of the Masia Cal Xic de l’Agustí until the mid 1960s, when we decided to stop this activity. So we kept working the vineyards and selling the grapes to other wineries of the area, which became common at that time in many Penedès farmhouses.

In 2011 the family decided to go back to their origins and founded the new Oliver Viticultors Winery at the Masia de Cal Xic de l’Agustí, in Subirats.

We recovered the old facilities for aging the bottles of cava and we rehabilitated a space for attending our customers and visits.
The incorporation of the new generation of the family in the project was a deciding factor when taking this step.
It is also the new knowledge acquired and the desire to do new things at home that ventured us into this new stage.
An adventure was yet to come: to put the fruit of our labor within a bottle. From the grape to the bottle following our philosophy: the wine is made in the vineyard.
Always under the seal and control of the D.O. Penedès and the D.O. Cava. We think that this is the best way to value the territory that surrounds us and that we must preserve and improve.
At the end of 2013, the first bottles were launched and we started receiving the first customers at the winery. The project started moving and the dream became true, and it keeps growing year after year.
In 2022 we took a small step that made a big difference. We expanded the cellar facilities in order to fit the increase in production and thus, maintain the quality of our products.
Future challenges do not stop. New projects, new illusions. New wines and cavas that already sleep in the cellar; always without losing sight of our origins and the belief that the wine is born in the vineyard.
